Atari Jaguar Emulation - This Week In Retro 103

This week we look at R Type which has just been ported to the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, this sparks discussion on our favourite shooters. Then we check out the fantastic stand alone Atari Jaguar emulator which is 100% compatible with all Jag titles. Finally, Dave (the Amiga's biggest fan boy) points out how smart an EATX Amiga 2000 motherboard is.

Eye Of The Beholder Comes to C64/C128 - This Week In Retro 101

Hope you are sitting comfortably as its a longer than usual episode this week. We were joined by Jason from Mr Lurch's Things on the team this week and had a good old chat. There is a wonderful story of an Amiga user who died far too young and after recovering some of his Deluxe Paint art he now has an exhibit dedicated to him at the Derby Computer Museum. We talk about the different stages of collecting, are you the type who must buy everything or have you moved on to only wanting what you need? Finally we look at the stunning version of Eye Of The Beholder for the C64 & C128.

NEW B17 Flying Fortress Games From MicroProse - This Week In Retro 98

It happened! Neil is over the moon. MicroProse has announced a number of new B17 Flying Fortress games. Have you ever wanted to use two C64 computers as an accordion? Of course you have, who hasn't? It has finally been made real....and its fantastic! Finally, did you think the Outrun car was a real model from Ferrari? Quake On a 3.5Mhz Sinclair Spectrum? - This Week In Retro 97

Violet Berlin tweeted to remind us that Bad Influence (the CITV show) is now 30 years old. We think back to some the tech/computer/console/gaming shows of the time and wonder what similar shows the rest of the world had. Have you seen the 'Quake' engine that has been created for the Sinclair Spectrum? Even at 3.5Mhz it is very impressive. We take a look and Chris made some footage of it running at 3.5Mhz and at 7Mhz. Finally, a new computer museum is opening in Leigh (UK), in an old mill of all places. ctrl-alt-rees has been to take a look. Will Neil have any advice for them?

Old School ’VR’ Tank Simulator - This Week In Retro 96

An awesome video by Tom Scott was bought to our attention and it shows how tank drivers of yesterday were taught using "VR". We also check out a new horror game trilogy that uses 8-bit inspiration to produce something unique and creepy.  Finally, have you every lost an important file or program?
