We are very happy to be joined by Amiga Bill this week as we discuss the end of Steam for Windows 7, the lost art of home made game maps and remembering that before Duke Nukem discovered a 3rd dimension he was  running around in 2D platforming adventures.
Do you remember Flashback? Would you say it is a similar game to Dragon's Lair? Dave does but what about the other hosts? Amiga Bill walks us through his modified Amiga A1200.
All this and your answers to our Community Question Of The Week.
We are sponsored by Pixel Addict, a magazine about all things pixel based with a generous amount of retro computers, games, toys and movie coverage too. If you are into homebrew games for classic systems then you will find updates on current projects along with new game announcements and developer interviews. Visit https://www.pixel.addict.media/

Once again two hobbies collide in the form of the Lego Arcade Pac-Man set. Who better to chat about it than Lego Grand Master Owen from Australian Lego Masters 2023. This week we also take a look at a very shiny TRS80 that turns out to be something special and there is a new joystick Kickstarter on the horizon.
All this and your Community Question of the Week!

Saturday morning wouldn't be the same without your bowl full of retro goodness. This week our stories cover the end of the Dolphin on Steam, the FMV classic The 7th Guest remake, and Doom running on Teletext! The usual tangents are taken and another TWIR cat makes an appearance.
All this and the Community Question Of The Week.
We are sponsored by the awesome Pixel Addict! A magazine that magically appears once every 6 weeks in your local WHSmiths newsagents (or any newsagents for that matter if you ask them nicely.) If you haven't already then please take a look and hopefully subscribe at https://www.pixel.addict.media/

We are joined by Rees from ctrl-alt-rees this week to chat about some of the stories that you have suggested for us on our Reddit page. The WinXP activation process can now be completed without the need to go online thanks to a new process. A shop that shut its doors for 30 odd years reopens with all its old tech stock intact an up for sale. Mc Donald's customers in China have been able to buy a Mc Nugget that can run Tetris.
All this and some answers to the Community Question Of The Week.
We are sponsored by Pixel Addict magazine, sister mag to Amiga Addict. In it you will find a mix of subjects from home computers to games, toys and film. Homebrew games for various systems are featured each month along with info on the latest retro computer/gaming events. Visit https://www.pixel.addict.media/ for info on the latest issue as well as back issue and some nice merch.

We are back to chat about going to the pub to game using both their kit and your own. We then move on to looking at some new, old-school, handheld PC devices. Finishing with a story about how the Miami F1GP was captured to floppy disk!
All this and the Community Question Of The Week.
We are sponsored by Pixel Addict magazine. The latest issue is on its way and it takes a look at how people are preserving retro tech and software. They just added some new binders to the Merch section of their store. Please support them by visiting https://www.pixel.addict.media/

Jason from Mr Lurch's Things joins us once again for this longer than usual chat about retro gaming, old tech and more. Microprose has reacquired the Falcon series of flight sims. Classic game Mercenary has been given a modern makeover which doesn't spoil its wireframe looks. Finally, we think back to those tabletop games as found in the Argos catalogue of old. Could LCD gaming hope to come close arcade classics?
All this and our Community Question Of the Week.
Please visit https://mrlurch.com/ to see everything Jason has to entertain you.
We are sponsored by Pixel Addict magazine. They are getting ready to publish a new issue and our guest this week has read it and has some thoughts. Please visit https://www.pixel.addict.media/ for more info.

How do you recreate images made on such an early build of an art package that there was no save function? The answer is found within one of the stories we cover This Week In Retro! We also have a couple of cool tech builds to look at.  One allows a Pi to simulate an ISA card and the other is a tiny 486DX machine with genuine retro parts and neat 3D printed mini tower case, and we do mean mini!
All this and the Community Question Of The Week.
We are sponsored by Pixel Addict magazine. If you like retro tech, games, toys etc. then this is well worth checking out.  All the details can be found at https://www.pixel.addict.media/Tell them that we sent you and you won't get a discount but they will at least know that we are worth sponsoring!

Talking retro computers and more this week we are joined by Gareth from Pixel Addict magazine (he assures us he isn't here to oversee the sponsorship slot).  We'll be taking a look at an Atari 800XL recreation, talking about how your mind was an essential part of the gaming experience and wondering what Atari are going to do with the very many old games they bought the rights to.
All of that and the Community Question of the Week.
Please check out Pixel Addict magazine at www.pixel.addict.media for the full run down on the latest issue. Gareth and the team have been hard at work putting together another great collection of articles to keep you up to date and entertained.

We are joined by Amstrad streamer Xyphoe (Al) this week to talk about the mobile/cell phone hitting 50 years old, to ponder if the PS3 really is retro and to remember our old navigation buddy Autoroute.
All this and more plus the Community Question Of The Week!
Thank you to our poor sponsor Pixel Addict. We apologise for the ongoing shambles that is your sponsorship slot. Actually, we did a pretty good job this week. Please take a look at https://www.pixel.addict.media/ where you will be greeted by the front cover of the current issue. If you haven't already bought a copy you can do so online or head to WHSmith in the UK. If you are overseas you can still buy online or ask your local newsagent to do the right thing and get you a copy each month....sorry, every 6 weeks.
