NVIDIA Bailed Out By SEGA!? - This Week In Retro 182

It's This Week In Retro, your weekly round up of news for old ( and sometimes not so old ) computers, consoles and games. This week we look back at some of the stand out loading screens from the Atari ST, find out how SEGA helped NVIDIA become what it is today and wonder if a CRT running at crazy refresh rates is the best option for modern gaming.

All this and many more snippets of news in brief and your answers to our Community Question Of The Week!

Neil is off for a few weeks and we needed somebody to step up and ctrl-alt-rees put his hand into the air, bounced around with excitement and demanded we pick him, so we did. Thank you Rees for keeping Dave company this week. Please visit his website https://ctrl-alt-rees.com/

Please take a moment from your busy day to visit https://www.pixel.addict.media/ and take a look at the all new issue of Pixel Addict magazine. Do you remember before laptops were really a thing and various manufacturers tried to squeeze fully functioning computers into something that became known as a luggable computer? It doesn't matter, either way you should nab a copy and check out the lead feature. Thanks!

PSA: It has been very warm in the UK this week and my Cadbury Buttons melted when I left them in my car by mistake. Do not make this error. You get a bag of choccy soup for a while and then once it cools you have a single chunk in a shape almost too awkward to eat.....almost, I persevered.
